The three wise men & me

Y’all it is the last week of me having my 8 AM downtown and I could not be more thankful. That class is something that I look forward to not having to think about ever again. You can tell the professor has an information degree when every website she goes to on in class the first thing she would do was spam the “reject cookies- do not track my information” right before giving us a homework assignment to manage salaries for 25 employees in a fictional multi-million-dollar company.  Love you Prof. Chen, your class is wack.

In other news that is making the absolute dredge of this week slightly more tolerable is that the Christmas season is upon my good ole Catholic campus. I feel so bad for people who dislike the Christmas season because you would not be able to escape it on campus. I look out the front window of my dorm building as there is the little manger, with Joseph and Mary ready to receive their little plastic Jesus on the 25th.  I’ve included some photos of me by the manger and the three wise men on campus, I’ll preface that I was going to the gym, so I look a little ragged, and have no bangs (they were clipped back, not shorn off in a mental break).

Well, all that aside, my weeks and days have been dedicated to little else other than thinking about what I got to study for, and any projects I need to square before leaving for break. This means the most exciting thing I have to report is that I had to wait a full 20 minutes for a purple line train in an attempt to buy some Trader Joe’s gummies and the fancy chocolates that I now know how to order. I must return to the suburbs this weekend to pick up my Northwestern University library card, which when applying for the card I thought was just a number I can use. Nope, whole card I must bring a photo ID to pick it up. But hell, for an honors student who has been on an 8-week reading bender, having like 5 library cards saves me a full 7$ on Thrift books.

Well, short post for today but next week should be extra-long and juicy because, besides those pesky tests, I have the week off from class. So look forward to that I guess?

Cordially,

Gretchen
