Another Tuesday!
I anticipate this post to be a little shorter than usual. I’m trying to sprint to Thanksgiving in both academic and mental sense, because lord, that November slump hits hard. Additionally, I’m not planning on posting next Tuesday, because as a treat to myself, I am coming home a day early and will be back in the good ole East of Lansing.
As for this week, it's been a lot. The end is in sight for a lot of my classes, which means I both have hope that I can do it all, as well as “oh, I have like 3 weeks until finals.” Last weekend also included a particular roommate-related issue, which put a damper on my mood. But in the interest of conserving my digital footprints, you can get all the details of that next time you see me in person, which for most of you, is next week.
Now for a funny story. I’ll set the scene, you’re a senior in high school touring Loyola. It's a beautiful fall day and people dot the lawn by the lake, including a group of very talented, breathtakingly beautiful group of freshmen girls, one of whom looks like she runs a semi-interesting blog. You, a high school senior on a tour, approach the church on campus, which your tour guide describes as “the heart of catholic life on campus.” You hear a noise, no its not the birds, or the angels singing, it's a group of dancers, clad in gold fringe masks, and black outfits, throwing it down in front of the church's open doors. Yes, the heart of catholic life on campus is most certainly best represented by a golden-dancer reboot. (I've included a picture below, you will have to zoom in but the tours are on the left, the dancers on the right)
As for “just other things I did.” I spent my lunch today dining at the Walnut room, located in the Macy's on State Street, which I will say, as someone who lives for the Christmas season, was magical. The pot pie I had was also magical (so magical I forgot to take a photo), but that's hard not to make me happy.
Welp, that's it. I have spent most of my recent time either in class or doing homework so not a whole lot to report.
See y’all soon, and enjoy your Thanksgiving!

If you ever find a video of that dance posted on someone's social media, you simply MUST share it with us. I'm so...intrigued. Looking forward to having you home next week!
