I’ll start this post off with a confession: I am pre-writing this entry, so it will go up about a day after I actually write it. It’s hard being an influencer and a student y’all.
So with one tab being this story and one being a British television about a crime-solving priest (Father Brown for those who want to get wild), we launch into a post that is going to be short, and unfortunately/fortunately depending on how much chaos you like in your blog posts relatively uneventful.
I suppose I’ll start by explaining the reason why I’m writing this early, and that is the simple fact: I’m so freaking busy this week. I’ve got a quiz at 8:30 AM tomorrow which means I’m catching the 7 AM shuttle (yes, it leaves at 7) to try to beat traffic and make sure I’m to class on time. Life in the academic grindset is thankless work.
As for the non-quiz-based work, I have two essays due. One in my history course, was on what a primary source about Cato the Elder can tell historians about Roman society at the time. God bless Prof. Peter for only making it 1500 words because my other essay; How God’s punishment is defined through human emotions in the Biblical story of Jonah as well as the Greek classical play The Bacche. To use colloquial terms, I fear I've girlbossed too close to the sun. Five weeks in and I am officially accepting applications from those who can provide me with a steady home, and enough financial allowance to support my knitting addiction, I have very few homemaking skills but can wash a plate and darn a pair of socks, so by the 19th century standards-- I am quite a catch.
In other news, I have a bang now. It's like having bangs, but it's only on one side of my face so I’m calling it a bang. If you see it in Vouge you know where they got it #trendsetter. Unfortunately, there will not be any photos of it in this post because my camera is broken. Every time I try to take a photo of myself I look tired and slightly undead. I’ll try to solve that tech problem by next week.
Well, unfortunately, that's most of it from me. I will say as a bit of a teaser, I have something brewing that although not related to this blog will be another way you can keep up with me (or rather see that I am still alive, and this isn’t a squirrel sitting at a keyboard).
I am looking forward to seeing my dad and Carmen this weekend for LUC “parents' weekend” which will undoubtedly be an exercise in Loyola trying to provide food that they should not be attempting for the sake of being fancy. I mean, I seriously shutter every time I see the little “LUC catering” truck, stay in your lane dining halls. For the sake of us all.
Well as I said at the start this week was a bit underwhelming, and I will admit I am probably funnier when not writing late into the night, I mean 9 o’clock, who do I think I am? But I will send my next report next Tuesday! And I am looking forward to it.
XOXO, gossip girl
